Hidden with Christ

Your life is now hidden with Christ in God

(Col 3:3)

The moments of our days are hidden and holy unto the Lord – most of them are unseen by people but always seen by God.

This is the place where we live out and put into practice the principals we learn and talk about with other people.

There is real stuff happening with real people in the repetitious moments of every day. We are only people, real people trying to live our lives well before God, but we are not God. We have real weaknesses and real fears that cause us to stumble. We have real strengths and talents that allow us to succeed and sometimes we have no idea if we have done well or not. Only God knows us so intimately and is so capable of discerning truth in our hearts. He is so kind, caring, perfect and just.

And it is all so short. The things that seem to matter today, do not really matter tomorrow. When we lift our eyes up to the Lord, we see that the greatness of His glory makes everything else pale in comparison. His glory truly is not worth comparing.

And yet, He cares about us and the details of our days, we were created for His glory, His pleasure and great delight. We know this. Ultimately at the end of the day, we want connection with God, the Holy One, the only One who truly satisfies our soul. With Him, there is no lack. When we give ourselves fully to Him, we have all that we need. He is the only One who really knows and sees it all. All of our decisions, choices, responses. He sees every single one of them. Only He Does. They are Holy and Sacred to Him. They are moments counted worthy. They matter. They have eternal impact.

I need this. This space to breathe and room to pray. I create space for God in my life, in abundance or in lack. I was designed for it and without connection with God, I grow dull and weary. I will not grow weary for I know my God is for me and not against me.
