When your heart longs for things that remain.

A word I have put to my searching-heart lately is 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦.
God is kind to not give us full permanence, on this side of eternity.
We work hard with open hands as this keeps us leaning into Him.
We lean in and do the dance of working the land and resting in sweet surrender of what may come.
In this life, we are sojourners lifting our gaze and walking with others towards our home in Him.
This life is not meant to be permanent yet our hearts long for lasting relationships and reliable circumstances.
We want to sow and grow roots in the natural while God wants us to grow spiritual roots.
His desires are good desires.

That is our home, that is our path forward.

It’s about His kingdom coming and His will being done, on earth as it is in heaven.
This encourages me, I hope it encourages you too.
Sometimes we gather for nourishment and sometimes we are scattered to nourish.
Whether you are in a season of scattering seeds or gathering a harvest - abide in the vine & stay rooted in Him, beloved one.
Stay
Abide
Rest

You belong at His table of communion.
This is where true nourishment comes from. My cup overflows when I sit and dine with Him.

What is your heart longing for these days? Where can you let go & lean in more?
I am right there with you.
